OFFSITE,
a series of gatherings at Catalyst Arts
Covid-19 caused a significant lack of discussion and conversation due to the inability to meet in real life in arts spaces. Naturally, critical and casual conversation about our current research, practice and projects occur in these settings.
This lack of communal settings gave us the idea to create a new, albeit temporary, space to allow for conversation and community to develop with Catalyst Arts’ Members: OFF SITE.
Through the creation of a shared platform, or a temporary members collective, we wish to provide space for artists to work through processes and think about ideas. Instead of adhering to the pressure to show only outcome based or ‘finished’ projects with peers, how can we approach process as practice and plot ways to uphold one another and create networks of support at an isolated time?
