a workshop and meal at Wysing, commissioned by Jerwood Arts and made collectively

A workshop commissioned on occasion of the Jerwood Curatorial Accelerator programme’s visit to Wysing Arts. This two part session expanded on forms of caring for, and upholding, each other when working within institutional frameworks. Centred around collective forms of working, the workshop started with a group-made meal, made whilst reflecting on the care and generosity in making shared dishes, and how this can be reflected within artistic, curatorial and daily practice.
The workshop also comprised on a Conciousness Raising session, utilised often by curator Katherine Murphy, in order to challenge embedded and accepted institutional frameworks. Together, we made and explored provocations, thinking about ways to hold one another, and create a manifesto for sustainable working practices.
